 Porer lighthouse The 35 m lighthouse tower is central with regards to the rest of the stone building. There are many beautiful bays and islets in the vicinity of Porer. The islet itself has three smaller berths. The stone edifice is a ground-floor building with a concrete yard and has two four-bed apartments. The islet is so small that it takes just over a minute to walk around it, nevertheless, the walk is magnificent due to sunsets on Porer that are considered to be the most beautiful on the Adriatic.

 Island Vis The island Vis is situated on the Adriatic sea, in the middle Dalmatia far away from the mainland. There are few places and villages on the island like: Vis, Komiza, Okljucna, Podhumije, Stoncica and Podstrazje.  Diocletian Palace The main tourist area of Split is the main portico of the Palace. It’s still largely in tact and represents the entrance to Diocletian’s primary living quarters, as well as his tomb and temple to Venus, which is on the spot of Luxor Cafe now. At night, the entire area is lit up and looks wonderful. The city is currently restoring the Roman formations around the portico, so there will be scaffolding covering a large portion of it for, I recall, about 10 years.

This top recognition for the 1540-metre-long twin tunnels was won in a field of 51 other tunnels covered by the EuroTAP project testing which this year pooled 12 national automobile clubs from 11 European countries. The recognition of the Croatian tunnel, opened in 2004, is all the greater because Croatia is the only non-EU member encompassed by the testing.
